From its humble beginnings over 22 years ago Buccaneers has always prided itself on being owned by locals to better serve locals in all their boating needs. Hervey Bay was just starting to evolve into what was to become the Whale Watching capital of Australia when Buccaneers started providing locals and residents of surrounding area with high quality brand such as Yamaha Outboards, Sea Jay and Stacer Boats. Combine that with the biggest range of Marine Chandlery on the Fraser Coast, and a full service facility with top trained technicians and you have a combination that has gone from strength to strength.
Originally located at the Hervey Bay Marina complex in Urangan, the move to its new premises on Islander Road in 2006, was a way to meet the growing city’s demand for a first class all in one boating centre & has enabled the business to be centered in the heart of Hervey Bay. Customers can now obtain service in all aspects of boating under one roof. If you are after that dream boat/motor package or just chasing a simple bung, Buccaneers are more than likely to have it. If we don’t have it we will try our hardest to get it for you. Our list of suppliers in all things marine is extensive & as we are part of the Bargain Boat Bits buying group have access to competitively priced stock across the board.
Last July (2009), A change in the management structure has seen improvements across the board with long time employee and Yamaha Accredited Technician, Kevin Nelson joining the Owner/Management team. This continues the tradition of local ownership, ensuring that the people that serve your needs are locals just like you!
